Seeman appears before Tiruchi court
Thiruchirapalli, June.20–
Having obtained anticipatory bail from the Madras High Court in connection with a case registered against him by the Tiruchi city police, Naam Tamizhar Katchi leader Seeman appeared before a judicial magistrate court here on Friday to produce sureties.
The Edamalaipatti Pudur police here had booked a case against Seeman and 37 others on the charge of speaking in support of the LTTE during the party’s State conference held here last month.
Seeman along with 37 others appeared before Judicial Magistrate-II court and produced two sureties each as directed by the High Court. The court had released them on advance bail on the condition that they should appear before the investigation officer at Edamalaipatti Pudur on June 20, 21, 27 and 28.

Naam Tamilar Katchi founder, supporters appear in court
TRICHY: Naam Tamilar Katchi founder Seeman and 40 of his supporters on Friday appeared before the judicial magistrate court II in Trichy to submit a copy of the anticipatory bail order given by the Madurai bench of Madras high court in connection with a case registered against them following their party meeting here on May 24.
The pro-Eelam supporter and his party men submitted the anticipatory bail order of the high court bench to evade arrest. Cases were filed against them under four sections- unlawful assembly, hatred speech, attempt to disrupt harmony and disobedience to order of the public servant. The public meeting was held near Panjappur last month.
The high court gave them anticipatory bail on the condition that all of them should sign for four days in the E Pudhur police station where the case was registered.
After submitting the bail copy, Seeman told reporters that their party would vote for the Communist party in the by-election in RK Nagar constituency.
